Self Change

From Zero Sum War to Win-Win Life Support

forgive-yourself-life-is-too-short

Fear is the starting point of our actions or inactions, of every thought we create and act upon. Why is this? Well, because we haven’t mostly learned how to consider each other in our actions or inactions – we haven’t learned how to communicate in order to establish agreements to, for example, get to share things in a way where all involved are considered and so, no one would have to fight to get their ‘share of the pie’ so to speak. Fear is what drives us to want to ‘secure’ our resources or get someone else’s because we fear not having enough for tomorrow – or simply wanting to have more just to have more power, more control, more ‘security’ which is once again all coming from fearing losing it all, and ultimately fearing our own death. This sounds like the reason for wars at the moment and one would tend to look at it as a problem between nations only, however, this within each one of us and it has to exist within us first in order to now ‘make sense’ and justify wars as righteous actions to secure (grab, steal) someone else’s resources/territory or people to serve as slaves – this might sound ‘outdated’ or how it was in the old days, however things haven’t really changed no matter how much ‘evolved’ we might be with all our super-powers to crate all of these technological gadgets and plan super-sustainable cities, which is great but one thing is certain: if we do not change our starting point from Fear toward a genuine principle of cooperation, solidarity, communication, ability to work together, to share, to establish agreements, to consider each other’s right to live in dignity = it will be rather difficult to get to any real evolution.

The reason why we cannot continue following a system of ‘morals’ of right and wrong is because that is the foundation of our ‘justice’ mind construct. For example, what one grows up believing is ‘right’ and ‘fair’ in America might not be the same as what someone in Russia grows up learning is right – in one or the other war can be justified as a means to ‘secure one’s homeland’ and in the other war is seen as a self-destructive action and last resort, while agreeing that it is right to stock on nuclear weapons to ‘defend our people.’ The point here being that in common sense, there cannot be any ‘right’ or ‘righteousness’ in promoting war or defense tactics, because the obvious principled living point is missed: how to Not wage wars but rather learn how to communicate, to know what each other is fearing, to know what each faction is requiring and so get to establish agreements, solutions where both or all parts are considering self-responsibility. Oh wow, such a simplistic way to avoid stocking on nuclear weapons or spending 20 million dollars a day on warfare while we starve 2+ billions of people and destroy the most precious resources we have on Earth! So you tell me whether there’s anything ‘righteous’ or common sensical in war as in there being any ‘fair’ or ‘just’ excuse to wage it…. There is NONE.

Where do we as ‘the people of the world’ fit in this scheme? Well, as much as we would like to think wars are a problem of the ‘super high spheres in society,’ it is not really only ‘them’ that have the ultimate say to wage wars. We all do this within ourselves, against each other, all the time. Have a look at our own thoughts, how much inner conflict we create within ourselves that we eventually create into actual problems between one another and ‘against someone’ just because we want to defend what we believe is ‘right’ which is actually – as the justifications for wars show – an excuse, a reason, a justification to get benefits for oneself and so justify doing ‘whatever it takes’ to get them. In this world, it is rather – unfortunately – common to have to lie, cheat, deceive, fool and abuse another/others in order to get ‘what one wants.’

One might think this is not so at all, because one plays ‘fair’ – but can there be any real fairness in this world in fact? Can there be any real cleanliness we even ignores how money is created as debt to tie us to a system of enslavement and how the very life we trade with is embedded in a monetary system that devalues life and ponders money as the right over life? No, no one can really escape from the actual thwarted foundation that moves every single cent in this world. This is no different to how we justify the means to get to an end, where we as individuals do not really question the outflows and consequences of us wanting to get something/someone in certain place that benefits us as individuals.

We rarely – if not never genuinely – consider everyone that is directly or indirectly involved and affected by our decisions, by our actions and how within creating of our world system a zero sum game – where one’s earnings is another’s loss – we actually bite our own tail all the time, because we have missed the understanding that by denying another’s growth and wellbeing is shooting ourselves in the leg as well, because we are all in fact interconnected by the sheer realization that we live in the same world. This is not a spiritual or metaphysical connotation here, but quite a factual aspect of our lives in this world.

Therefore, when we decide to go against others to get what we want, within following our fear to have none or our desire to have more, within believing that control and power are real as they make us even ‘more powerful’ and so intimidating others to not mess with us, we become in fact our own worst enemy – no matter who you are, where you are, what ‘right or wrong’ morality you base your actions on: physical laws of action and consequence dictate that the moment that we disregard a part of the whole and wage war against it = everyone else will be affected.

War Against Life - Democracy Against War

Maybe we will only realize this when it is too late and we have no resources to wage war on… we haven’t consider that everything in this world is alive and that our very decisions and principles dictate how we create ourselves, how we shape our reality, how we create or destroy life around us – being humans, animals, plants, the ecosystem in itself. What nature is showing us is that if we continue ‘waging war’ against each other, nature/ the animal kingdom will also demonstrate the outflows of our inability to coexist in harmony, maybe that’s what we require to see in order to wake up from our warmongering slumber.

Ultimately, isn’t it that all that we want is our secured access to resources, to live at peace and in dignity? Then why haven’t we yet actually worked on creating a system that guarantees just that? Why haven’t we placed our collective effort and work in gear to get that done and secured? Makes no sense to only keep ‘fighting injustice’ and ‘fighting against terror’ which is a paradox in itself, we have to instead focus on living the principles that we want to see reflected in this world .

If we want fairness and Justice we have to create it from within ourselves: to consider at all times what is Best for All, to do onto another as we would like to be done onto ourselves as ‘they’ are also ‘me’ as well, to give as I would like to receive and to ensure that no harm or abuse is waged in means of one’s benefit – that must be recognized as self-destruction, period.

So, there can be no excuse to not give to each other the right to a guaranteed Living Income, which is a first stepping stone to get everyone their share of the economy, no matter how thwarted it is in its foundation at the moment – this is a first step to begin straightening the crooked tree we have all allowed to grow ‘by itself’ without any clear definition of what we want that money to be. Our current zero sum economic system is our collective consequence, it is our responsibility, so we have to begin placing solutions to get everyone on the playing field, so that then we can look at how to best generate fairness embedded in the way that money is created, in the way that our laws are created – which would be turned into living principles that do not focus only on ‘punishing people,’ but rather on preventing crime, on preventing war, on preventing inequality, on preventing spite and desire for power. These are the living principles we have missed as humanity – we are witnessing the results of this as ongoing wars and environmental degradation keep going on until we one day we might find there’s no more clean water to drink, no bees to pollinate our flowers, no food to fill our stomachs with, no trust between one another at all and no strength to survive – that would be most undesirable chaos.

We are at a crossroads here: either we connect the dots and realize how we are waging a war against ourselves on all fronts, stop and decide to rather focus on collaborating, developing solidarity and implementing solutions that guarantee our decision to cooperate and coexist supporting one another or we obliterate ourselves.

I suggest we rather gear our minds, our bodies and our intentions to focus on establishing and creating solutions to prevent getting ourselves to that worst case scenario where no ‘win’ can exist – let’s prevent our children having to come to us and ask us why we didn’t do anything to stop this mess.

There’s still time, but it’s running out…. It is now or never that we create a world-system where no one ends up losing and everyone actually wins.

Democracy Against War Now:

The power of giving and receiving || Living Income Guaranteed

In a world where paying billions for weapons and state of the art technology to kill is more important than providing houses, food, water, medical assistance, proper quality education and environmental conditions, where voting for a contestant in a TV show is the closest form of direct democracy that exists, where our governments are in fact a mafia of a few that have taken over the world, we cannot trust any longer that ‘asking for change’ or ‘voting for change’ will do the trick of re-establishing any form of dignity that we believe we once had, which is also doubtful considering that if such principle of self determination genuinely existed, we would not be existing with structures that have benefited a few and not everyone.

We tend to individualize issues in our societies like bad wages, women’s rights, immigration issues, anti-war, environmental or anti-government movements, racism, consumerism and this is a limited way of looking at the problem, because we tend to miss the set of relationships, beliefs and ways to consider one another that have created this divided and conquered mentality, because the problem is not the lack of animal rights, or environmental rights, or indigenous people’s rights – but it is about understanding how it is that all relationships that enable our lives as they exist now have been violated through and by the power we’ve all given and endowed to money itself. Therefore, in a globalized reality, we require global solutions as well, and by global it is the actual consideration of ourselves as human beings above nationalities, races, creeds, genres, political or corporate affiliations, because in the end any solution must consider the impact It will have upon everyone’s living right in it, including those that we have also ‘blamed’ for being the cause of the problem and those that we have mostly abused as ‘fuel’ to power up our lives, such as nature, the animals.

Greed is Fear - Equal Life

The Living Income Guaranteed by the Equal Life Foundation is not only an advocacy group for the provision of a basic income or a living income for those that previously had no money in order to live in dignity, but it is in fact a democratic movement that has in its core intent the realization that we, the people, the individuals are the ones that will create this change – it’s not about asking, it’s not about fearing politics or moving people ‘off the grid,’ but actually realizing how we have held ourselves hostages by our own will through abdicating our responsibility to take care of our own matters, our own lives, to work together by principles that enable supportive structures and not by survival-mechanisms where we learn how to fear one another. Therefore, it is about realizing that we all hold the actual power to change things which is a common sentence, however it is the shortest way to say that change won’t come only through a petition done to the already existent and established governments, nor demanding that we simply can ‘wake up’ – it implies the fundamental change that we require to consider that LIFE can be different if we start taking responsibility for the problems that are most immediate and that affect us all. The lack of money is certainly the first and most usual problem in our lives, however it is also the lack of empathy and support toward one another which has then created the nature of the economic system as it is: we’ve valued the illusion of power and being able to have ‘more than others’ as more than life itself.

Change at a world system level can only be legitimized by collective agreements, and so politics is the set of ways in which we choose to direct each others’ lives. If we have a look, by abhorring politics we’re implying the decision that we don’t want to take actually direct our lives. That’s how a real movement for change is political in nature: looking at all the aspects of the problem to understand How we have created it and so how we can begin to solve it at an individual and collective level. If we know the problem, we can know the solution and so we can join to present these solutions and create political parties where we can place these solutions as an option to vote on in a democratic exercise where Voting means we all commit to live out the necessary changes, alignments, considerations that can ensure the implementation of these changes, where we can also begin learning how to respect and honor each other, not only through providing money as our Right to Life, but also as human beings that coexist in the same world where everyone’s interest should be our own as well. We can only now begin to understand the reason why we are where we are and how we are now:  we live in a world where we’ve accepted that everyone wants to win above the other, use another for personal gain, have more than everyone else as a form of being superior – without realizing that when such mentality takes over: we are already giving one step back into the old ways which is how we brought us to the problem in the first place.

Therefore, there’s much more to learn beyond making decisions, it is about also how to live the decisions and working on what we decide to take responsibility for and do it the best way possible – no matter if you are a student, a mother, a father, a son, a teacher, a sports person, a business owner, a traveler, an artist, an engineer, a cleaner, an entrepreneur: we all have the ability to think what we would like our lives to be, and so realize that living life the best way possible should not be a dream or a wishful thinking process – it is about being able to first get to know how the system currently operates and so understand that each one of us in our every day relationships make up the nature and characteristics of the system as it is that we usually only complain about. From there we can realize that implementing solutions will imply making alignments in the system and so at the same time making alignments within ourselves too, developing empathy, regard, respect and honor toward oneself and another.

One example is considering that with the provision of money to those that previously had been oppressed, marginalized and quieted down in our societies, they will then also have to be supported to be informed participants in the construction of a democratic society for the first time. Never before have we seen and realized that it is ourselves, the majority, the collectivity that will empower those that have been deliberately left out of the equation; so it is our responsibility to equally empower them not only with giving them money, but with the much needed education about how we have created the system as a structure that has ‘left them out,’ so that we can ensure we don’t ever leave them behind again. Who else would better know the problems that the we have generated through our current rigged system but those whose lives have been systematically oppressed, denied, disrespected and denigrated within the fallacy of money being above and more important than life? And so, who will we become once we no longer have to fear each other? once we no longer have to fight against one another for survival? That’s yet to be lived.

Living Principles

With giving to one another the recognition of being alive through the provision of a Living Income also comes the responsibility of learning how to most effectively make decisions and create solutions that can benefit each other’s lives in turn – this is not taught in schools yet, and so a lot of common sense development will be required where we can begin changing the way we relate to ourselves, seeing and understanding how and why we compete toward one another, how we blame some for the problems in the world, how we worry and get preoccupied about the state of the world without occupying ourselves to structure, propose and implement any way of correcting ‘the ways of the system’ to stop the abuse and so walk the actual change.

It’s time to consider that giving money is giving the right to life within our current system structure, but this also comes with the responsibility of equally empowering each other through the way we treat each other and through the living principles and values to learn how to give to another as we would like to receive, how to work together instead of fighting each other to survive. This is part of the fundamental realizations that I’ve had when it comes to seeing the potential for change in this world: one aspect comes with the liberation of each other at a systematic level, but with this also comes the responsibility to learn how to best reflect, act and speak in consideration of what I see is best for myself and others as well – and so this is also implied within the promotion of the implementation of the Living Income Guaranteed system, an economic, political and social suggested model where with the provision of money as a right to life comes the ability to have more time to learn how we created this chronic crisis and how it is that ourselves at an individual level have co-created the current problem we’re existing in.

The actual empowerment comes with the realization of the responsibility we have toward ourselves as individuals also extends to the responsibility of how we live among each other – this is why it is relevant to understand all the aspects that have forged our lives the way it is, from the greed-driven economic systems and impositions to the political structures we’ve voted on, the riddles implied in our laws to reduce us to slaves by consent, the fallacies of our education systems, the dumbification of our intellect through media and entertainment, the pain-killer effects of belief systems, the divide and conquer power of cultural identities, the supremacist ideologies through national boundaries, the participation in forging our environmental decay, the throttling we’ve imposed onto nature and the animal kingdom, the profit-driven production of our living needs, the humiliating working conditions, the criminalization of poverty, the pathologies of our current family structures, the mental illnesses that have stemmed from living in a dog eat dog world and how we participate in our everyday relationships with one another, because all of these aspects are in fact influenced by money .

And so, through no longer coexisting in a constant threat of having no money tomorrow, a remarkable opportunity for a new and never before existent human nature will emerge, and it is our duty, our responsibility to ensure that granting each other the money to live and upgrading our living conditions, will also generate the availability of time to start learning the necessary for changing at an individual level once that we don’t spend over a third of our day at work but instead use our will to recognize the responsibility to also do our part in solving the problems that we have left slip through our hands and evolve into the current prison-planet that we’re living in, where we’ve even become enamored with our own imprisonment by praising the wealth that a minority has and desiring it as if it was a triumphant thing to obtain in this life – it is not, we’ve missed the meaning of Life all the way, and so it’s time to implement it here for the first time.

It’s time to wake up, it’s time to realize that becoming political as in becoming involved to become the change where we can join forces to promote this new way of conceiving life and reality with a set of eyes that want to support life, not greed or illusions of power structures. The Living Income Guaranteed is a democratic and political movement at a global and grassroots level where ordinary people are proposing a way to empower each other through providing financial support to every individual to live in dignity, along with the information and education necessary to never again repeat the words, the behaviors, the complacency, the irresponsibility that we have used as an excuse to not see that the crimes against life have been committed by all of us as well – there’s no need to blame to a few, we’re all here, therefore we all take part in the solutions as this is the only way out of the tunnel vision survival-reality we’ve lived through until now, the key is to support one another the way that we want support to be given to us as a guaranteed right as well.

Join us if you agree that change must happen within ourselves as well, let’s change the way we relate to one another and so, change the world.
